News broke last week that the Brownlee brothers vow to ‘put on a show' for spectators after confirming places in the first round of the ITU World Triathlon at Abu Dhabi. People presumed this would be double Olympic champion Alistair's first race of 2018, but we are extremely excited that Alistair boarded a plane with Bahrain Endurance to race this weekend. After a long time off due to surgery which ruled him out of triathlon for the second half of the season, we've spotted him on the pro start list of Ironman 70.3 Dubai. You can catch the pro race action here.
Yesterday, Alistair was getting ready for his 2018 race debut in Dubai and enjoying the sights. He posted a video of himself featuring an unmarked wetsuit tweeting “testing a new @HUUBDesign suit”. But what is this suit? I’m sorry, but we can’t tell you just yet. All we can say is that to develop the best and fastest products in the triathlon market; we use feedback from the best athlete’s in the world, such as Alistair and Jonny coupled with our scientific expertise and then tested by the data-driven M.A.D system.
We’re looking forward to seeing what 2018 brings for Alistair, one of his first targets will be defending his title at the Commonwealth Games in a sprint distance race with brother Jonny Brownlee and Tom Bishop, also a HUUB athlete.
