In what was the hottest race of the World Triathlon Series, Silver Medal Olympian Jonathan Brownlee gave it his all after heading first out from the bike on to the run.
The heat in Mexico really showed as he showered himself in water to keep cool but with the finish line in sight Jonathan's legs gave way and he could barely run in a straight line.
In an incredible act of sportsmanship and brotherly love, Alistair who was just seconds behind, came to his aid and pretty much carried him to finish the race with a gentle push over the line.
However, this allowed Olympic Bronze medallist Henri Schoeman, who put on an amazing display of strength and talent, to pass Jonathan and Alistair to take the victory in Mexico.
Despite Jonathan taking the second place on the podium, the world title went to Spain's Mario Mola, who finished the race in 5th place scraping just enough points to put a 4 point gap between them in the world rankings.
Jonathan started to recover well after the race but he was taken to hospital for a check up where he tweeted: "Not how I wanted to end the season, but gave it everything. Thanks @AliBrownleetri, your loyalty is incredible".
This is the second time recently that the HUUB trio have taken the podium after their success at the Rio Olympics where Alistair took the Gold, Jonny took Silver and Henri took the Bronze medals home with them.
