Swim Serpentine was a huge success!

The weather was perfect for the inaugural Swim Serpentine at Hyde Park, organised by London Marathon Events.

Saturday was an extremely busy day with in excess of 3000 swimmers taking to the water in different waves throughout the day. The water temperature was 18.5ºC which meant that wetsuits were not compulsory and plenty of hard core swimmers took to the water in just swimming costumes and trunks! As the official swim sponsor we were extremely proud to see some of the not so brave swim the Serpentine for the first time wearing HUUB wetsuits to keep them warm and of course give them a speed advantage.

On Sunday it was the Elite and Para swimmer event with around 300 racing. The water temperature was a little lower at 17ºC but still above the 16ºC requirement for wetsuits to be compulsory.

The swim awards were presented in the morning by Team GB's Jack Burnell.

HUUB open water swimmer, Jessica Thorpe took the Gold in her race (Mixed Age Masters Champs Women 30-34 3.3k) and Georgia Amison took the Silver in her race (19-24 Youth Women Age Group Swimmers 3.3k) wearing the HUUB FINA Swimsuit.
